I just attended the re-grand opening of the Louis Vuitton store in the Cherry Creek North Mall this week. It was by “invite only” and I was privileged enough to get in with a friend of mine who had received the invite. I watched many women (and a few men) go crazy for the handbags and accessories. As I stood there drinking my free champagne, I was in awe as I witnessed people buying multiple hand bags, wallets, planners, scarves, key chains, and anything else they could find. I have decided that their bags must be coated in crack.
I have never been into labels (ok, I lied- I wanted everything Esprit when I was in grade school). I also don’t really understand the appeal of the bags because personally, I don’t really find them all that attractive. I wouldn’t even pay the forty bucks in NYC China Town for a knock-off. But, I guess, if you’re that addicted to LV, knock yourself out. Just don’t be surprised if you end up on Intervention someday.
Tina’s Tip: Buy things that you absolutely LOVE! Don’t settle for anything. Buy things that bring you joy on a daily basis…even if it is a Louis Vuitton handbag.
